TPACK Lesson Plan
2nd Grade English
By the end of this lesson the students will know how to identify a verb and a noun
Day 1:
First, we will have 1 piece of paper for each student, fold it in half. On one side we will write the definition of a verb and underneath we will write common verbs. On the other side we will write the definition of a noun and write common nouns, under the definition.
At home and in their free time the students are encouraged to play “Ice Cream Talk” on ABCYA.com https://www.abcya.com/games/nouns_and_verbs and when we come back to class the next day, they should have a good understanding of the lesson.
Day two:
Each student will come to the front and write a sentence on the smart board, then another student will underline the verb and the noun. Each student should be at the Smart Board twice, by the time this procedure is done.
Assessment: https://www.education.com/game/nouns-and-verbs-sort/ I will use this game as their assessment, I can assign this as “homework” on the website to check for who may be struggling.
You did a great job on your lesson plan! I think the abcya game is fun and your students will love it. The game on education.com is great way to check for understanding.
ReplyDeleteGabby, I think your lesson plan was great! That ABCya is such a great tool. I will also use that as a big part of lesson planning. I think maybe have a back up plan for the homework for the kiddos that do not have access to a computer at home!! Good Job sweet girl!!
ReplyDeleteI thought your lesson plan was really good. I liked how you used ABCya within your lesson plan.
ReplyDeleteGreat lesson for understanding of verbs and nouns. Writing them down along with the definition will help the students understand better. Having them play abcya at home and during their free time will also be great because they will see it as playing a game. I think that the best way to have students learn.
